Job Description

Argon Corporation designs and produces rugged military computers and displays.We are seeking a motivated, self-starting professional who is willing to wear more than one hat from time to time in support of our growing organization. This person will contribute to not only the direct work contracted by our customers to perform, but to process ideas and concepts to further meet the business goals of Argon. Based on your inputs, you will help us recognize what needs to be done in the context of our military business, how it needs to be done, and help to get it done.We are currently operating in two locations, Great Neck, NY, a suburb on Long Island, and Alpharetta, GA, a suburb of North Atlanta. In the Alpharetta office, Argon personnel have the responsibility for business management, planning and production of Argon products, sales and marketing, program management, and company QA management. Product design, development, prototyping and small volume production is the responsibility of our Great Neck office.Our project solutions are based on various configurations of custom rugged displays, computers and peripherals sold into military land, air and sea combat vehicle applications.This position entails working in a small, technical production environment, producing custom display monitors and computers for military application. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing the documentation for the transfer of our Engineering designs to Alpharetta for production. This will entail working closely with Engineers and Production Assemblers. The Documentation expected includes Work Instructions, Travelers, and misc. forms.  Direction will come from the Alpharetta Director of Quality/Manufacturing Eng, who will define what is needed and priorities. This position allows room for growth within the organization.   


Basic personal qualifications sought after:

  1. Technical undergraduate degree
  2. 0-5 years relevant experience
  3. Experienced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  4. Experienced with ERP software
  5. Flexibility balanced with dynamic work environment
  6. Familiarization with ISO procedures/processes
  7. High integrity

  9. Hands on personality

The following are some, but not all, of the intended tasks:

  1. Document new build product lines
  2. Update and revise existing controlled documents, as needed
  3. Create travelers in ERP system (Epicor) an update as needed
  4. Help QA Manager with Quality record keeping and analysis, as needed
  5. Backup to QC Inspector
  6. Other related tasks as assigned by the Manager.
